Steps

  1. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an amount of an energy counter, sacrificing a nontoken creature and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand.
  2. When the creature dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens due to Parallel Lives.
  3. Resolve the Chthonian Nightmare ability, returning another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  4. Activate two Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding one generic manaone black mana.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying one generic manaone black mana.
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters, it triggers, causing you to get an energy counteran energy counteran energy counter.
  7. Repeat.
