Initial Card State

Steps

  2. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying ({1} magic symbol)  ({B} magic symbol)  .
  3. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get ({E} magic symbol)  ({E} magic symbol)  ({E} magic symbol)  .
  4. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying ({E} magic symbol)  , sacrificing Izzet Chronarch, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying ({1} magic symbol)  ({B} magic symbol)  .
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get ({E} magic symbol)  ({E} magic symbol)  ({E} magic symbol)  .
  7. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an amount of ({E} magic symbol)   equal to Izzet Chronarch's mana value, sacrificing the creature you returned in step 4, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Izzet Chronarch from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. When Izzet Chronarch enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Songs of the Damned from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Repeat.
