Initial Card State

  1.  All permanents on the battlefield.

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Pestbrood Sloth, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  2. When Pestbrood Sloth dies, it and Nim Deathmantle trigger,.
  3. Resolve the Pestbrood Sloth trigger, creating two creature tokens.
  4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a creature token, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  5. Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger, causing you to pay ({4} magic symbol)   to return Pestbrood Sloth from your graveyard to the battlefield and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  6. Repeat.
