- When the copy of Derevi's trigger untaps City of Shadows, activate City of Shadows' first ability, exiling Derevi.
- Elect to put Derevi in the command zone.
- When Derevi's trigger untapping City of Shadows, activate City of Shadows' second ability to add mana.
- Repeat.
