Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Putrid Goblin, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  2. Putrid Goblin dies, triggering its persist ability and Mazirek.
  3. Resolve the Putrid Goblin trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Mazirek trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control.
  5. Repeat.

  1. Infinite +1/+1 counters on most creatures you control.
  2. Infinite colorless mana.
  3. Infinite death triggers.
