Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate
    Tortured Existence
    Tortured Existence     by paying ({B} magic symbol)   and discarding a creature card, returning any other creature card from your graveyard to your hand.
  2. Insidious Roots
    Insidious Roots     triggers, creating a 0/1 Plant creature token, then putting a +1/+1 counter on each Plant you control.
  3. Activate the Plant by tapping it, adding ({B} magic symbol)  .
  4. Repeat.

Results

  1. Infinite +1/+1 counters on Plants you control.
  2. Infinite ETB.
  3. Infinite self-discard triggers.
