Initial Card State

  1.  Blood Pet in hand.
  2.  All other permanents on the battlefield.

Mana Needed

Steps

  1. Cast Blood Pet by paying ({B} magic symbol)  .
  2. When Blood Pet enters the battlefield, Altar of the Brood triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Blood Pet by sacrificing it, adding ({B} magic symbol)  .
  4. Resolve the Altar of the Brood trigger, causing each opponent to mill two cards due to Bruvac.
  5. If an opponent mills a nonland card, The Wise Mothman triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness.
  6. Evolution Witness triggers, returning Blood Pet from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Repeat.

Notes

  1. This combo fails if every card milled in step 4 is a land. Having more opponents reduces this chance significantly. Bruvac is also not explicitly required but greatly increases the chances of the combo succeeding. If the combo does fail, you can place a +1/+1 counter on Evolution Witness and restart the combo again.
