Initial Card State

Steps

  1. If Sabin is in your graveyard, cast it for its blitz cost by paying ({R} magic symbol)  ({R} magic symbol)   and discarding a card. Otherwise, cast Sabin either from your hand or from the command zone by paying ({2} magic symbol)  ({R} magic symbol)   plus commander tax, if applicable.
  2. Skyfire Phoenix triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  3. Activate Thermopod twice by sacrificing Sabin and Skyfire Phoenix, adding ({R} magic symbol)  ({R} magic symbol)  .
  4. Choose not to return Sabin to the command zone from your graveyard.
  5. When Sabin dies, if it was cast using its blitz ability, it triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  6. Repeat.
