Initial Card State

  1.  Graveshifter in hand.
  2.  Catalyst Elemental in your graveyard.
  3.  Ashling and Planar Gate on the battlefield.

Steps

  1. Cast Graveshifter for its evoke cost by paying two generic mana due to Planar Gate.
  2. When Graveshifter enters, its first ability and evoke abilities trigger.
  3. Resolve the first trigger, returning Catalyst Elemental from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve the second trigger, sacrificing Graveshifter.
  5. When Graveshifter dies, Ashling triggers, creating a token copy of Graveshifter with haste.
  6. When the Graveshifter token enters, it triggers, returning Graveshifter from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Cast Catalyst Elemental by paying one red mana due to Planar Gate.
  8. Activate Catalyst Elemental by sacrificing it, adding one red manaone red mana.
  9. When Catalyst Elemental dies, Ashling triggers, creating a token copy of Catalyst Elemental with haste.
  10. Activate the Catalyst Elemental token by sacrificing it, adding one red manaone red mana.
  11. Repeat.

Notes

  1. If you have at least two generic manaone red mana in your mana pool on a particular iteration, step 10 can be skipped.
