Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate Splintering Wind by paying one green mana, dealing 1 damage to target creature and creating a 1/1 Splinter creature token.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Splinter, adding one green mana.
  3. When the Splinter dies, it and Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger.
  4. Resolve the Ashes of the Abhorrent trigger, causing you to gain 1 life.
  5. Resolve the Splinter trigger, dealing 1 damage to you, and putting a +1/+1 counter on each creature you control due to Vigor.
  6. Repeat.
