Steps

  1. Activate

    Ashnod's Altar     by sacrificing

    Lesser Masticore    , adding one mana of any color.
  2. When
    Lesser Masticore
    Lesser Masticore     dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. When
    Lesser Masticore
    Lesser Masticore     enters the battlefield,
    Surrak and Goreclaw
    Surrak and Goreclaw     triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on
    Lesser Masticore
    Lesser Masticore     and giving it haste until end of turn.
  4. Repeat.
