Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate Wall of Roots by putting two -0/-1 counters on it (due to Doc Samson), adding ({G} magic symbol)  .
  2. Activate Tayam by paying ({3} magic symbol)   and removing three counters from creatures you control.
  3. In response to Tayam's ability, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Wall of Roots, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  4. Resolve Tayam's ability, milling yourself three cards and returning Wall of Roots from your graveyard to the battlefield with two vigilance counters on it due to Tayam and Doc Samson.
  5. Repeat.

Notes

  1. This order of operations and the ({2} magic symbol)   starting mana are necessary because you cannot pay the counter removal cost before sacrificing the creature to Ashnod's Altar, due to the timing sequence of the activated ability rules.
