Notable Prerequisites

  1. Sage of Fables does not have a +1/+1 counter on it.

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Sage of Fables, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  2. When Sage of Fables dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  3. Activate Sage of Fables by paying two generic mana and removing the +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to draw a card.
  4. Repeat.
