Initial Card State

Steps

  1. At the beginning of your precombat main phase, There and Back Again triggers, creating a legendary 6/6 Smaug creature token, and causing you to sacrifice There and Back Again.
  2. Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying ({2} magic symbol)  ({U} magic symbol)  , targeting the Smaug token.
  3. Orvar's first ability triggers, creating a copy of the Smaug token.
  4. Put the new Smaug token into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
  5. When Smaug dies, it triggers, creating fourteen Treasure tokens.
  6. Resolve Whim of Volrath from step 2, returning it to your hand.
  7. Activate three Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding ({2} magic symbol)  ({U} magic symbol)  .
  8. Repeat from step 2.
  9. Once you have infinite colored mana, you may instead target any other permanent(s) you control using Whim of Volrath, to create infinite tokens of them using Orvar.
