Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Workshop Warchief, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  2. Workshop Warchief dies, triggering itself and Nim Deathmantle.
  3. Resolve the Workshop Warchief trigger, creating a 4/4 Beast creature token.
  4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Beast, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  5. Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger from step 2, causing you to pay four generic mana to return Workshop Warchief from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  6. Workshop Warchief enters the battlefield, causing you to gain three life.
  7. Repeat.
