Initial Card State

  1.  Sparkcaster in hand.
  2.  Helga and Mind Over Matter on the battlefield.

Notable Prerequisites

  1. Helga does not have summoning sickness and has power 3 or greater.

Mana Needed

  1. one red or green mana available.

Steps

  1. Activate Helga by tapping it, adding at least one red manaone red manaone red mana or one green manaone green manaone green mana that can only be spent to cast creature spells with mana value 4 or greater or creature spells with X generic mana in their mana cost.
  2. Cast Sparkcaster by paying two generic manaone red manaone green mana.
  3. Helga triggers, causing you to draw a card, gain 1 life and put a +1/+1 counter on Helga.
  4. When Sparkcaster enters the battlefield, its first and second ability trigger.
  5. Resolve the first Sparkcaster trigger, returning itself from the battlefield to your hand.
  6. Resolve the second Sparkcaster trigger, dealing 1 damage to any target.
  7. Activate Mind Over Matter by discarding a card, untapping Helga.
  8. Repeat.

Notes

  1. If you have enough leftover mana to cast the creature, you can instead substitute untapping another permanent instead of Helga.
