Initial Card State

  1.  Lab Rats in hand.
  2.  Stormsplitter and Phyrexian Altar on the battlefield.

Mana Needed

  1. twelve generic manaone black mana at most, depending on how many Stormsplitters you control available.

Steps

  1. Cast Lab Rats with buyback by paying four generic manaone black mana.
  2. Each Stormsplitter you control triggers, creating that many token copies of Stormsplitter.
  3. Resolve Lab Rats, creating a 1/1 Rat creature token and returning Lab Rats to your hand.
  4. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Rat, adding one black mana.
  5. If you control at least 8 Stormsplitters, activate Phyrexian Altar four times by sacrificing four Stormsplitter tokens, adding four generic mana.
  6. Repeat.
