Steps

  1. Cast Burnt Offering by paying one black mana and sacrificing Scholar of the Ages, adding one black manaone black mana and then an amount of additional one black mana and/or one red mana equal to its mana value minus 2.
  2. Cast Corpse Dance with buyback by paying four generic manaone black mana, returning Scholar of the Ages from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  3. When Scholar of the Ages enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Burnt Offering and another instant or sorcery from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Repeat.
