Steps

  2. Gerrard enters the battlefield, triggering Molten Echoes, creating a token copy of Gerrard with haste.
  3. Put the nontoken Gerrard into your graveyard due to the legend rule.
  4. The nontoken Gerrard dies, triggering its ability.
  5. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the token Gerrard, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  6. The token Gerrard dies, exiling itself and returning the nontoken Gerrard from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. Repeat from step 2.
