Steps

  1. Cast Songs of the Damned by paying one black mana, adding one black mana for each creature card in your graveyard.
  2. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying one generic manaone black mana.
  3. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get an energy counteran energy counteran energy counter.
  4. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an energy counteran energy counter, sacrificing Timeless Witness, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning a creature card from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  5. Cast Chthonian Nightmare by paying one generic manaone black mana.
  6. When Chthonian Nightmare enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get an energy counteran energy counteran energy counter.
  7. Activate Chthonian Nightmare by paying an amount of an energy counter equal to Timeless Witness's mana value, sacrificing the creature you returned in step 4, and returning Chthonian Nightmare from the battlefield to your hand, returning Timeless Witness from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  8. When Timeless Witness enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Songs of the Damned from your graveyard to your hand.
  9. Repeat.
