Initial Card State

  1.  All permanents on the battlefield (Eirdu as Isilu, Carrier of Twilight and Hound of Griselbrand without a +1/+1 counter on it).

Steps

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Hound of Griselbrand.
  2. When Hound of Griselbrand dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  3. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Hound of Griselbrand.
  4. When Hound of Griselbrand dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  5. Resolve both Altar of Dementia abilities from step 1 and 3.
  6. Repeat.

Notes

  1. If Hound of Griselbrand starts with a +1/+1 counter on it, then you may start the combo from step 3 instead.
