Initial Card State

  1.  All permanents on the battlefield.

Notable Prerequisites

  1. You control another nontoken creature.
  2. Apprentice Necromancer does not have summoning sickness.

Steps

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding ({B} magic symbol)  .
  2. Activate Apprentice Necromancer by paying ({B} magic symbol)  , tapping and sacrificing it, targeting any creature card in your graveyard.
  3. Ashnod triggers, copying Apprentice Necromancer's ability, targeting Apprentice Necromancer.
  4. Resolve both Apprentice Necromancer abilities, returning Apprentice Necromancer and another creature from your graveyard to the battlefield, and giving them haste until end of turn.
  5. Repeat.

Results

  1. Infinite death triggers.
