Initial Card State

  1.  All permanents on the battlefield.

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken green Insect.
  2. When the Insect dies, Zask and Verdant Succession trigger.
  3. Resolve the Zask trigger, putting the Insect on the bottom of your library from your graveyard and causing you to mill two cards.
  4. Resolve the Verdant Succession trigger, searching your library for that Insect and putting it onto the battlefield.
  5. Repeat.

Notes

  1. Eventually the combo will stop in step 3, as the Insect will be milled into your graveyard. Note that you must control another nontoken green Insect besides Zask.
