Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Cast Dread Slaver by paying three generic manaone black manaone black mana.
  2. When Dread Slaver enters the battlefield, Halana triggers, causing you to pay two generic mana to have Dread Slaver deal damage equal to its power to itself.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Dread Slaver, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
