Initial Card State

Notable Prerequisites

  1. You control at least one nontoken creature.

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing another nontoken creature, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  2. When the creature dies, Golgari Germination and Nim Deathmantle trigger.
  3. Resolve the Golgari Germination trigger, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
  4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Saproling, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  5. Resolve the Nim Deathmantle trigger from step 2, causing you to pay four generic mana to return the sacrificed creature from your graveyard to the battlefield, and attach Nim Deathmantle to it.
  6. Repeat.
