Initial Card State

Notable Prerequisites

  1. Puppeteer Clique does not have a -1/-1 counter on it.
  2. Fain does not have summoning sickness.
  3. An opponent has at least one creature card in their graveyard.

Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  2. Puppeteer Clique dies, triggering its persist ability, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. Puppeteer Clique enters the battlefield, putting any creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control.
  4. Activate Fain's second ability by tapping it and removing the -1/-1 counter from Puppeteer Clique, creating a Treasure token.
  5. Activate the Treasure token by tapping and sacrificing it, adding ({B} magic symbol)  .
  6. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the creature your opponent owns, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  7. Activate Fain's fourth ability by paying ({3} magic symbol)  ({B} magic symbol)  , untapping it.
  8. Repeat.
