Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Butcher Ghoul, adding ({C} magic symbol)  ({C} magic symbol)  .
  2. Butcher Ghoul's undying ability and Blood Artist trigger.
  3. Resolve the Butcher Ghoul undying trigger, returning Butcher Ghoul from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  4. Resolve the Blood Artist trigger, causing a player to lose 1 life and you to gain 1 life.
  5. Activate Ghave's first ability by paying ({1} magic symbol)   and removing a +1/+1 counter from Butcher Ghoul, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
  6. Repeat.
