Cards

  1. Brass Infiniscope
  2. Voltaic Construct
  3. Mishra, Eminent One
  4. Spell with X generic mana in Mana Cost

Initial Card State

  1.  Spell with X generic mana in Mana Cost in hand.
  2.  All other permanents on the battlefield.

Notable Prerequisites

  1. There are legal targets for the spell with X generic mana in its mana cost, if applicable.
  2. You have enough mana to cast the spell with X generic mana in its mana cost reduced by one colorless manaone colorless mana, accounting for X generic mana to be 2 or greater if you wish to gain life.

Steps

  1. At the beginning of your combat phase, Mishra triggers, creating a token copy of Brass Infiniscope that is a 4/4 artifact creature with haste named Mishra's Warform.
  2. Activate Mishra's Warform by tapping it, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana and creating a delayed triggered ability.
  3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying two generic mana, untapping Mishra's Warform.
  4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 as desired.
  5. Cast the spell with X generic mana in its mana cost, with X generic mana being at least 2 if you wish to gain life.
  6. Each instance of Mishra's Warform's delayed triggered ability triggers, causing you to draw a card and gain half X life, rounded down, for each trigger.

Notes

  1. Each activation of Brass Infiniscope adds a delayed triggered ability that can draw you cards and gain life if you cast a spell with X generic mana in its cost. If you wish to use these abilities, you'll want to stop the combo before getting too many triggers such that you'll deck yourself and lose the game. To gain life, you must spend at least two generic mana for X when casting the spell.

Results

  1. Infinite card draw.
  2. Infinite draw triggers.
  3. Near-infinite lifegain.
  4. Near-infinite lifegain triggers.
