Initial Card State

  1.  All permanents on the battlefield (Eirdu as Isilu, Carrier of Twilight and Pyreheart Wolf without a +1/+1 counter on it).

Steps

  1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Pyreheart Wolf.
  2. When Pyreheart Wolf dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  3. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability.
  4. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing Pyreheart Wolf.
  5. When Pyreheart Wolf dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  6. Pyreheart Wolf enters and dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness. Its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
  7. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability from step 4.
  8. Repeat from step 4.

Notes

  1. If Pyreheart Wolf starts with a +1/+1 counter on it, then you may start the combo from step 4 instead.
