Steps

  1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Lesser Masticore, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  2. Lesser Masticore dies, triggering its persist ability, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. Activate Slimefoot by paying four generic mana, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token.
  4. The Saproling enters the battlefield, triggering Ivy Lane Denizen, putting a +1/+1 counter on Lesser Masticore.
  5. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Saproling, adding one colorless manaone colorless mana.
  6. The Saproling dies, triggering Slimefoot, dealing 1 damage to each opponent and causing you to gain 1 life.
  7. Repeat.
