Steps

  2. When the Elemental enters the battlefield,

    Ivy Lane Denizen     triggers, putting a +1/+1 counter on
    Marath, Will of the Wild
    Marath    .
  3. Activate
    Phyrexian Altar
    Phyrexian Altar     by sacrificing the Elemental token, adding ({1} magic symbol)  .
  4. Repeat.
