Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Activate Katara by paying at most four generic mana due to Training Grounds, causing you to draw a card.
  2. Nadir Kraken triggers, causing you to pay one generic mana to put a +1/+1 counter on it and create two creature tokens.
  3. Activate Katara by paying at most two generic mana and tapping the creature tokens.
  4. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing the creature tokens, adding one colorless manaone colorless manaone colorless manaone colorless mana.
  5. Resolve the Katara ability, causing you to draw a card.
  6. Repeat from step 2.

Notes

  1. The mana cost can be reduced if you tap combo pieces or other applicable permanents while activating Katara's waterbend ability the first iteration. As the combo will net one colorless mana each iteration, you can forego sacrificing and/or tapping both tokens on some loops.
