Initial Card State

Steps

  1. Cast Fallen Ideal by paying ({B} magic symbol)  , targeting any other creature you control.
  2. Monastery Mentor's prowess and second ability triggers.
  3. Resolve the first Monastery Mentor trigger, giving it +1/+1 until end of turn.
  4. Resolve the second Monastery Mentor trigger, creating a 1/1 Monk creature token.
  5. Activate the creature that Fallen Ideal is attached to by sacrificing it.
  6. The creature dies, triggering Fallen Ideal and Pitiless Plunderer.
  7. Resolve the Fallen Ideal trigger, returning it from your graveyard to your hand.
  8. Resolve the Pitiless Plunderer trigger, creating a Treasure token.
  9. Resolve the ability from step 3, doing nothing since the creature is no longer on the battlefield.
  10. Activate the Treasure token by tapping and sacrificing it, adding ({B} magic symbol)  .
