Steps

  1. Activate

  2. Activate
    Havengul Lich
    Havengul Lich     by paying ({1} magic symbol)  , allowing you to cast Gray Merchant from your graveyard this turn.
  3. Cast Gray Merchant from your graveyard by paying ({0} magic symbol)  .
  4. Gray Merchant enters the battlefield, causing each opponent to lose life equal to your devotion to black, and causing you to gain life equal to the life lost this way.
  5. Repeat.
